May - Newsletter 22 (20th May 2014)

Dear Parents/Carers,

Class Photos – the children are having their class photo taken on Thursday this week. Please help your child to look smart in their uniform.

PTA Summer Fair – we have started receiving entries for the sports t-shirt competition. Remember to get yours in before the fair on 14th June.

Parents / Relatives - Please sign up to help if you can, a sheet is available in the school reception. Half an hour on the day makes a big difference as the fair relies on volunteers.

Thank you for your help with our non-uniform days. The next one is this Friday and the final one the Friday following the holidays:

Friday 23rd May Bottle for the Bottle Tombola (unopened) – bubble bath, wine, olive oil, sauce etc.

Friday 13th June – Cakes, chocolate or a prize for a hamper.

Please also remember to sell raffle tickets over the holidays and bring back money and stubs when we get back. The money from the fair is going to PTA fundraising for the trim trail.

Pole2Pole Cycle and Scoot to School – We are still doing really well and coming first in Stockport – well done everyone and keep going until Friday (when I also plan to cycle to help increase our total!).

Well done to the Year 5 children who enjoyed a great residential in Scarborough last week with fantastic weather and activities and fantastic behaviour from the children too. It was also the Year 6 SATs week last week and well done to the Year 6 class for all of their hard work during the week.

We break up for the half term holidays after school on Friday (23rd May) and the children are due back in school on Tuesday 10th June as the Monday is an INSET day. Have a lovely break.

We aim to be approachable and work in partnership with parents, so if there is anything you wish to discuss, please do not hesitate to come and talk to us.

Yours sincerely,
