Welcome back to the Summer Term. I hope you all had a lovely Easter. We look forward to a successful and happy term.

The table below gives you details of each class’ theme for this term. Knowing your child’s theme should help you talk to them about their work. Sometimes there is just one main theme for a term and sometimes two. The themes this term are:

You have the details of your child’s curriculum in the ‘Booklet for Parents’ which you received with your child’s report (or in the reception parent’s pack) – this is a useful reference throughout the year and will help you to help your child. Please also remember to have a regular look on the VLE for class and curriculum support.

Clubs

Letters will be coming home about new clubs for the summer term this week. Junior Sports Stars Multi-Sports and Football, Gymnastics, French Club, Glee Club and Tennis Club start as usual this week. Other clubs start next week or after.

Crossing patrol

Our new lollipop lady on Station Road, Emma Rowland, started work today. Please do make sure you use her if you are crossing Station Road.

PTA

There is a PTA meeting tonight from 7:30-8:30pm – everyone is welcome.

Staff News

Congratulations to Mrs Love and family – Elliot Joseph Love was born on 4^th April weighing 9 Ibs 7 oz.

Uniform

Zenith Childrenswear are now selling Lane End Uniform from after the Easter holidays along with our other suppliers. Gillian Williams from Zenith Childrenswear will be in the Community Room on Thursday 19^th and Friday 20^th of April from 3-4pm for any parents who would like to see the wide variety of ‘Lane End’ school uniform goods they offer.
