February - Newsletter 16

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome back – we hope you all had a good half term holiday. We had an inspirational start to the half term yesterday when Olympic swimmer, David Carry, came back to visit us and talk to the children about how you should give things a go and keep trying and working hard if you want to succeed. He told us some stories from his life which showed how he had managed to become a world class swimmer by never giving up (even when things didn't go well) and by putting in a great deal of effort. You can see a video of David talking in assembly on the VLE – in the ‘Podcasts and Videos’ section. It’s well worth a look.

Parent-Teacher Interviews - Our Parent-Teacher Interviews are on Monday 6th March (Year 2 only), Tuesday 6th March (not Year 2) and Wednesday 7th March. There will be a sheet to sign up in the school entrance from Tuesday 28th February or you can phone from 8:15am on this day if you are not able to

come in. Year 5 have already had their Spring term parent’s evening.

School Uniform - Just a reminder that school uniform can now be bought from Monkhouses in Cheadle Hulme, Davensports in Davenport and online from Tesco. Tesco are now also stocking school fleeces.
