July - Newsletter 30 (12th July 2013)

Dear Parents/Carers,

Summer Fun

We have been enjoying making the most of the lovely weather and our beautiful school grounds at playtimes and in lesson time. There’s plenty of shade when we need it though too.

Please remember to apply sun-cream to your child before they come to school on sunny days and supply them with a hat and bottle of water – thank you!

Parents Questionnaire – please compete on the VLE

The number of completed questionnaires is rising – thank you. Please do fill one in on the VLE and return your slip to school if you haven’t already.

Open Evening

We hope to see you all at our Open Evening tonight (Thursday 11th from 6 – 8pm). Please take the opportunity to have a look around the whole school.

Art Exhibition – the art exhibition in the hall looks great and the children have all had a chance to look around during the day. Please have a look round and enjoy the exhibition during open evening. If you’d like to buy your child’s framed picture they cost £8 each.

PTA Picnic

We really hope that you’ll be able to make the PTA picnic which is on Friday 19th July from 6:00 – 8:30pm (please note the slightly earlier times from the times previously advertised – better for the children). It costs just £1 ‘on the door’ for adults and is free for children. Bring your picnic with you and there will be things to do on the field (bouncy castle etc.). Fingers crossed for continued good weather – if it stays like this it should be lovely.

We aim to be approachable and work in partnership with parents, so if there is anything you wish to discuss, please do not hesitate to come and talk to us.

Yours sincerely,

James Twigg
