Letter from Mr Twigg

8th March 2017

Dear Parents/Carers,

After almost 10 years as Headteacher and previously two years as Deputy Head of Lane End Primary School it is time for me to move on to new challenges. It has been an absolute privilege to be head of such a wonderful school with great children, staff, parents and governors and I want to thank everyone for their support throughout my years at the school.

Lane End is a very special school with a fantastic ethos and culture and it has been a huge part of my life for the last twelve years – I will miss everyone dearly but know that the school will continue to flourish and provide an excellent education and care for all of your children; you couldn’t ask for better staff and everyone has a growth mindset which means that the school keeps moving forward!

I am going to be Head of Primary at a school in Malaysia – so it really is a new challenge and a real change for myself and my family. I am not starting until August so I am very pleased that I will be able to finish the year at Lane End – we still have a lot planned!

The governors will work with the Local Authority to recruit a new Headteacher and I will assist in any ways I can to ensure that we have a smooth transition and a great start for the new Headteacher.

Thanks again and best wishes,

James Twigg
