Dear Parents/Carers,
Parents Evening – a reminder that you need to sign up for Parents Evening from 8am on Tuesday next week (8th March).
World Book Day – the children looked fantastic in their costumes. The book swap was a great success too. We looked at some of the books in assembly and exchanged them at playtime. Some of the children got straight into reading their new book. You’ll also be very pleased to hear that the World Record Attempt for the biggest book quiz was successful so the children are RECORD BREAKERS!
There are lots of photos of the World Book Day events on our website and there is currently a link to these on the homepage.
Smiles and Good Work Book Stickers – The new sticker designs look great and the children who have been in the Smiles (infants) or Good Work Book (juniors) for their hard work in the week will receive a sticker on a Friday in our Smiles and Good Work assemblies. The children thought it would be a good idea to have a sticker book so they could collect them (and a special reward if the sticker book is filled!). Mrs Titterington has designed a lovely book which is coming home today – the children can stick their sticker on the relevant slot when they receive one.
Up-to-date holiday dates for the current academic year and next academic year are on the reverse of this newsletter. Please remember that we can not authorise holidays in term time – authorised absence can only be given in an exceptional circumstance which can’t include the price of the holiday or parental holiday patterns.
We aim to be approachable and work in partnership with parents, so if there is anything you wish to discuss, please do not hesitate to come and talk to us.
