Dear Parents/Carers,

Best of British Week

We had a very successful, enjoyable and rewarding week with so much going on both in and outside of school. Please have a look at the link on the website so you can see some of the photos and read about the activities and events. There is a link on the homepage at the moment and it can also be found in ‘our school’ – ‘school events’. Well done to our Reception class who did a great job in their first ever class assembly today presenting their Best of British work to their parents and relatives.

PTA Summer Fair – thank you for all of the donations and to everyone who came to support our summer fair. It was an enjoyable day and we raised over £2500 for enrichment activities and resources for the children. A very big thank you to our PTA and to all of the helpers – we had more people involved this year and it really did make a difference. It is much appreciated and please do help again in the future! There are some photos of the fair on the ‘Best of British’ page too.

Well done Year 4 and 5 who went to Stockport Plaza on Tuesday for the Book Factor Final. They did a great job presenting some of their work to the large audience.

Year 6 had an enjoyable dance session with the Genetik Academy – they run street dance sessions in Sharston each Tuesday for 7-11 year olds and you can find out more on their website: www.message.org.uk/genetik-sessions

We break up after school on Friday (27th May) and the children are back in school on Tuesday 14th June as the Monday is an INSET day – have a lovely half term break everyone.

Yours sincerely,
