Christmas 2016

Happy Christmas to all of our children and families from everyone

at Lane End Primary School!

Christmas is always a busy time with lots of performances and events.

This year our choir sang beautifully at Cheadle Hulme Methodist Church’s Christmas Carol Concert. Our Year 1 and 2 children performed brilliantly in the excellent Lights, Camel, Action! Our musicians did a great job performing at our music Concert with Ms Yates and Mr Gosling. Our Juniors (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6) were fantastic at our Junior Carol Concert and our Reception children performed an enchanting nativity for us today to finish the performances off perfectly!

Well done to all the children and staff for their hard work and we are very pleased that so many parents/carers and relatives were able to join us and enjoy the performances – thank you for your support.

We've enjoyed our Christmas parties and Christmas Jumper day (raising £186 for Save the Children) as well as making Christmas crafts to sell at the PTA Christmas Fair. A huge thank you for all of the support for our Christmas Fair and to the PTA for the excellent organisation and all of their hard work once again. It was a lovely community event and was our most successful Christmas Fair ever – raising a fantastic £3205 to spend on books to benefit all of the children. Well done all!

Our Young Sports Ambassador in Years 5 and 6 organised a Santa Run for the last day of term - they raised almost £150 for new playground equipment.
