Maths Success

We had two maths presentations in assembly on Monday 26th November. Firstly from Cheadle Hulme High School because our Year 5 and 6 children from last year won their ‘Maths Challenge’ out of all the Cheadle Hulme schools - the High School were particularly impressed with how our children were able to explain their working out and how they got to their answer. George, Ben and Alex who are now in Year 7 came along with their maths teacher, Mrs Salisbury, to present the trophy to the current Year 6.

Somaia from Explore Learning was also in assembly to present our maths team with certificates and medals for getting to the semi-finals of the National Mathematics Competition out of 700 schools who took part. We didn’t make the final but they were very impressed with the level of maths and team work shown by the children. Well done all!
