Science and Engineering Week

Science and Engineering week started with a bang when Mr Vallance launched a rocket on the school field!

We learnt all about movement and each class was challenged to design and make air powered dragsters to race - investigating how to make them go faster. We ended the week with a drag race - the winning cars from each class competiting. 

The children experienced a range of investigations and science demonstrations and showed a real enthusiasm for the week.

We also had a Zumba teacher in school who worked with each class, really getting them to ‘Move it!’ and think about their the science involved in moving their bodies. Thank you to Mr Vallance who led the week and to the children and their teachers for their enthusaism for science.
