December - Newsletter 12 (19th December 2013)

Dear Parents/Carers,

We’ve had a lovely term and thank you for all of your support.

We are looking forward to our Junior Carol Concert tonight (Thursday) at Cheadle Hulme Methodist Church. It starts at 7pm and children should arrive in their school uniform no earlier than 6:45pm. Instrumentalists only should arrive with their instrument at 6:30pm (no earlier please). The Carol Concert lasts about 45 minutes so if there are any parents who are not staying and need to pick up, pick up time from the church will be approximately 7:45pm. There will be a collection after the Carol Concert for the Wellspring Kitchen.

 Well done to our Year 5 swimmers – Alfie, Hannah, George and Lewis who did a great job at the swimming gala this week both individually and as a team; coming first in their freestyle medley relay!

As tomorrow is the last day before the Christmas holidays children are allowed to bring in a sensible toy or game. They must be responsible for their own toy. Phones do not count as toys!

 Club update –some clubs will start on the first week back for existing members and also, in the case of Junior Sports Stars, for those who have already sent forms back! These clubs are: Gym, French (Wednesday class), Tennis, Junior Sports Stars Multi-sport and Junior Sports Stars Football. There will also be a chance to join these clubs from the second week back when the club letter comes home after the holidays!

We finish after school on Friday 20^th December and the children are due back in on Tuesday 7^th January as the Monday is an INSET day.
