These results represent excellent progress for all of the children and we are very proud of their hard work and fantastic achievement!

Thank you as well to the parents for all of their support. Well done to all of the Year 6 staff and the whole school staff who have worked hard with the children over the last seven years.

Open Evening – from 6-8pm tonight (Wednesday 8th July). Please look round the whole school as well as your child’s classroom and at their work. It is also an ideal opportunity to talk to the teachers. We hope to see you all there. Mrs Harper will be preparing a sample of some of our school dinners to taste, our governors are serving tea and coffee and there will be information about our PTA and school uniform ordering in the hall. We will also put out any lost property that we have. Named items have been returned to class but there is still a lot of unnamed uniform and some bags and shoes too – please come along and claim anything that belongs to your child as we will have to recycle unclaimed items at the end of the year. Thank you to Mrs Paddison and team for sorting the lost property out this week.

Thank you for your votes for our trim trail! Fantastic news - we were in the top 15 projects and so will receive the £5000 from ‘One Family’. This is an amazing achievement for a small school and testament to the support from parents and our excellent PTA. Following the successful PTA fundraising, the trim trail is being installed towards the end of the summer holidays and, due to this additional funding, we have now been able to order the additional flooring which will be installed at the beginning of September. Thank you again!

Parent Questionnaire – these were sent out this week. We’d really appreciate your feedback. Please return by Friday 17th July. We use the questionnaires when forming our school improvement plans.

Children who are playing with the Halle at the Bridgwater Hall on Friday – please meet at Cheadle Hulme Methodist Church at 8:45am. Mrs Toyne and Mr Vallance will be there to meet you.

Woodwind Assembly – Parents/relatives of children who learn flute, clarinet or saxophone at school are invited to an assembly at 10am on Thursday 16th July.

Guitar Assembly – Parents/relatives of children who learn guitar at school are invited to an assembly at 10am on Wednesday 22nd July.

Year 6 Leavers’ Assembly – this is on Thursday 23rd July at 9:15am, we hope to see Year 6 parents there.

A reminder that we break up for the summer holidays after school on Friday 24th July and the children are back in on Wednesday 2nd September.

We aim to be approachable and work in partnership with parents, so if there is anything you wish to discuss, please do not hesitate to come and talk to us.

Yours sincerely,
