July - Newsletter 27 (29th July 2014)

Dear Parents/Carers,

The children have enjoyed our ‘Commonwealth Games’ and it has been great to see so much sport and activity going on in the school grounds. The photos below capture some of the action:

Team Points - Well done to Yellowhammers who won our team point competition in both the infants and juniors this term and were able to enjoy the ‘Podium Café’ at breaktime yesterday.

All The Best - We have to say good-bye to the current Year 6 class today. They finished on a high with an excellent leavers’ assembly and we wish them all the best in their move to high school – good luck all!

Staff News - We also have to say goodbye to Mrs Mealand who has been an excellent teaching assistant throughout the school. Mrs Mealand is training to be a teacher next year – we wish her all the best and are sure she’ll do a great job.

We break up today and the children are due back in school on Tuesday 2nd September.

Thank you for all of your support over the year and we hope you all have a lovely summer.

Yours sincerely,

James Twigg
