Gardening Morning - October 09

The Young Writers’ Club have been meeting with Mr Toyne on Wednesdays after school. They wrote this newspaper report about a recent school event.

School Garden Gets Ready for Spring!

Last Saturday some of the children came with their mums and dads to help tidy the school garden. Despite the cold weather, they had fun getting their hands dirty.

The volunteers did lots of the important jobs for this time of year. They filled the vegetable beds with piles of horse manure to help feed the soil. Also, the flowerbeds were dug over, dead plants were removed and daffodil bulbs were planted.

It was a job well done. Everyone had fun and the garden is now ready for planting in Spring.
