PTA Trim Trail Opening
On 23rd September 2015 the Mayor and Mayoress of Stockport visited to officially open our PTA Trim Trail. The PTA have been raising the funds for the Trim Trail for four years and all of their hard work running Christmas and Summer Fairs and holding special events for parents and children has really paid off - the PTA Trim Trail is fantastic! Well done to all of the parents, staff and everyone who has supported the fundraising and a big thank you to Mrs Sangster for all of her hard work and commitment as PTA Chair leading the fundraising. We were also very fortunate to have an extra boost to our fundraising from OneFamily after so many parents and friends of the school voted for our project in their community award scheme - this extra money paid for the improved flooring which gives the PTA Trim Trail a beautiful springy landing.
It was lovely to be able to share the opening with children, parents and staff and the photos below give a taster of the event.
All of the children are thoroughly enjoying using the Trim Trail:
The children have been involved throughout our planning for the Trim Trail and our Pupil Forum have helped to decide on the equipment with help from each class. Mr Twigg and Mrs Sangster took some of the children around the site to look at the plans before it was installed.
We’ve formulated the following rules for our trim trail. Please help to enforce these rules if your child is using the trim trail after school – they are there for the safety of all of the children and to help ensure that everyone can enjoy using the trim trail.
Trim Trail Rules:
Keep fit, be kind, stay safe, have fun!
Remember:
No pushing or pulling
Don’t stand on top of the climbing wall
Don’t jump off the climbing wall (climb down)
No more than 3 children on the rock and roll log
Don’t over-crowd the other pieces of equipment
Hands only on the monkey bars (no dangling from your feet)!
The Trim Trail is not in use when it is raining or before school
Parental/carer supervision required after school
